65 June Callwood Way - RIVERSIDE (2 Comments)
This is a 1+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom converted laneway coach house and rag factory with 1 parking spot on a 50 x 40 foot lot at 65 June Callwood Way in Riverside.
If you don't know and are wondering, June Callwood was a Canadian journalist, author and social activist...
According to Wikipedia...
In 2004, the City of Toronto noted its intention to name a street in Callwood's honour. Callwood requested that an existing street not be renamed for her, and specified that it be a new or currently unnamed street near a school or a playground.
As it turns out, the laneway ends at Saulter Street Parkette...
And it is around the corner from McCleary Playground...
But I don't think it is really a house where you would live if you had kids because there is really only 1 bedroom. But if you were single or a couple, this is a pretty great space.
I'm not crazy about the kitchen or the way the furniture is laid out, but it could be amazing.
And perhaps something like a smaller version of the house at 126 Sears Street...
That house was listed at $1,950,000. I'm not exactly sure what it sold for but I think it was around $2,100,000 (correct me if I'm wrong!).
This place that is a lot smaller is listed at...
$1,198,000.
