In 2013, I posted this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 35 x 135 foot lot at 22 Wilberton Road in Deer Park.

It was a house that used to look like this...

And when I posted it, I thought it was a good house on the inside, but I couldn't figure out why they added this thing...

It was being sold as a single family home and the asking price was $2,998,000.  I thought that was a little high.  I'm not sure what it sold for, but it looks like they have added a fridge, a stove, and an oven to the basement as this is what the kitchen looked like before...

And this is what it looks like now...

As far as basement apartments go, this is a bright, 1,360 square foot space with high ceilings.

And the rent includes utilities, cable, and internet.

The asking price for this 1 bedroom rental is...

$2,200.

Umm...compared to the smaller 1 bedroom basement rental at 126 Argyle Street...

That was listed a year ago for $2,500...

If you aren't picky about location...

This seems like a good price.
