106 Glen Road - ROSEDALE, TORONTO (13 Comments)

This is a 4+1 bedroom, 7 bathroom, 7,815 square foot house on a 0.86 acre ravine lot at 106 Glen Road in Rosedale in Toronto.

It is a house that used to look like this a few years ago when it was last on the market…

I can’t remember exactly but I think it sat for while and eventually sold around $2.1 million or so.

It is now back on the market and I was really excited to see the photos. I was anticipating an updated version of the old house with lots of mid-century modern aspects to it. Something like the house at 15 Wood Dale Road in St. Catharines

And an updated kitchen like the one in that house…

But on a larger, fancier scale.

Instead, once I got to the kitchen, I was a little disheartened. The kitchen is very Forest Hill mansion new build-y which is more than fine. It was just NOT what I was expecting.

But the more I saw of the rest of the house, it started to REALLY grow on me. It is impressive. It’s not what I was hoping for but that pool and the view? It’s kind of crazy.

But….

So is the price.

This place is now listed at…

$12,000,000.

And if they get that, it makes you wonder why it sat years ago.

P.S. Do people really sit in these rooms tasting wine?
