Last week, I posted this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with a 1 car garage on a 35 x 107.75 foot lot at 7 Ellerbeck Street in the Playter Estates neighbourhood in Toronto.

It was a house that looked like this when it was last for sale in 2011…

Since then, it has been completely redone with a full addition at the back that received mixed reviews from readers.

In 2011, it was listed at $1,199,000 and sold for $1,100,000.

Eight years later, with an approximate 8% annual compounded interest, the house with no changes would be about $2,100,000 today.

It was listed at $2,900,000. I thought they were hoping for $3.3.

It sold…

For $3,500,000.

Someone liked that addition.
