194 Roxborough Drive - ROSEDALE, TORONTO (7 Comments)

In 2015, I posted this 8,000 square foot, 4 bedroom, 8 bathroom house on a 60 x 401.87 foot lot at 194 Roxborough Drive in north Rosedale in Toronto.

There is a lot of information about the house in the original post link just above but for a quick refresher, it was the home of of the late mathematician, James Stewart, who made a LOT of money writing the most popular calculus text books in the world...

And like that symbol in the violin that Stewart used to play and the calculus symbol of the same shape, this house is called ‘The Integral House’.

When it was listed in 2015, the original asking price was $28,000,000.

It didn’t sell and the price was dropped a few months later to $22,900,000. It was dropped again a year after being on the market to $19,500,000.

Which is when I suggested, in the spirit of calculus, they should pick a ‘Happy Number’ like $19,300,000 instead.

It apparently sold a month later to mystery buyers, but I heard it was some sort of banker who had been living in Asia or something before that (correct me if I am wrong).

Regardless of who bought this house then, it is now back on the market 3 years later.

The new asking price is…

$21,500,000.

According to this Happy Number calculator
