58 Annette Street - THE JUNCTION, TORONTO (3 Comments)
This house is a good example of what a difference a little paint can make.
When I first posted this 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom row house with 2 parking spots on a 15 x 113.5 foot lot at 58 Annette Street in the Junction,
With the dark paint colours and this bedroom….
It was kind of giving me this vibe…
It was dark and eery with rooms that were painted like this…
But I thought with a LOT of lighter paint, this could be a good house.
One commentor who called this place ‘Gothic Shabby Chic’ agreed. And so did the buyer who posted this in the comments...
I am the proud new owner (and I saw this post immediately after I made the purchase and laughed). Well put, "Gothic Shabby Chic" but perhaps with a touch of bordello. With a make-under and some more neutral colours I think this place will be great.
- Creepy Julie.
At the time, it was listed at $649,900. Creepy Julie bought it for $741,000 and I assume immediately brought out the paint roller.
And now this place looks SO much better. It’s still kind of Gothic Shabby Chic but you no longer feel like a pig is going to come walking into the room…
Just a cow…
The third floor has also been changed from this…
To this…
A BIG improvement.
It is now listed at $1,199,000. I don’t see it sitting for long.
P.S. Did that house down the street at 66 Annette ever sell?
