119 Coxwell Avenue - LESLIEVILLE, TORONTO (5 Comments)
Yes or No?
And I don’t mean yes or no on the house because it’s closer to a ‘no’ than a ‘yes’.
I mean Yes or No on this marketing video…
Ultimately, it’s working because after presumabley receiving several emails about it yesterday morning as I did, blogTO posted it yesterday afternoon. TorontoStoreys posted it this morning. Yahoo News posted it earlier this afternoon as did CBC. And I am posting it now.
So, clearly the marketing is working. But is the video going to work to sell this house?
I don’t know. I like the part at the end when he shouts out Woodbine while on his bike.
But the way he is standing in the door in the beginning is reminding me of this…
And that piano part of the song where they sing…
Little Yellow House, you’ll love the Lil Yellow House
Little Yellow House is the perfect place to live.
Combined with the house itself and the colours is kind of giving me this vibe…
It’s scaring the sh-t out of me! (that hammer didn’t help)
As the song says, the house is located close to the Leslieville Farmer’s Market, Lake Shore Boulevard, Woodbine Park, the Beaches, Little India, the Danforth, and Gerrard Street East.
Being located in the centre of all these places is great…
But $499,000 for a 1+1 bedroom condo alternative row house on a 12.5 x 110 foot lot at 119 Coxwell Avenue with features such as a basement level bathroom and only doors away from a police station (that’s a good thing?)…
Is this more this?
As I said before, for me, I’m not exactly a ‘YES’ on the house (I think I’d prefer a condo) though I suppose it could be renovated to be more open and bright and it is charming from the outside. And as the video said, the prices here are only going to go up.
But despite the rap video kind of scaring the sh-t out of me, I can’t stop singing that ‘Lil Yellow House’ portion of the song and the whole thing is growing on me.
Plus, the video is all over the internet.
So, I guess I’m a ‘YES’ on the marketing.
