SOLD - 85 Withrow Avenue - RIVERDALE, TORONTO
Two days ago, this 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom detached house on a 20.17 x 130 foot lot at 85 Withrow Avenue in Riverdale in Toronto came on the market.
It was listed at $1,799,000 and I thought it seemed like a lot of house for the price. But it turns out it has been on the market on and off since June.
It initially looked like this when it was last listed in 2011…
It was listed at $599,000 and sold for $596,000.
Since then, they have added a third floor, a first floor family room, and redone the whole house. And while floors that go sideways instead of the length of the house kind of drive me crazy, the house is well done.
Which is why I think it is weird that it has been on the market since June. The asking price then was $1,898,000. It didn’t sell and the price was increased in August to $2,199,000 (guess they were hoping for higher). It didn’t sell and was dropped again in October to $2,149,000. Again, it didn’t sell.
Two days ago, it was back on the market $1,799,000. I was going to post it yesterday but got sidetracked.
In the meantime, it sold…
For $2,200,000.
