10 Seaforth Avenue - RONCESVALLES, TORONTO
This is a 3+1 bedroom, 2+1 bathroom row house on an 18.88 x 134 foot lot at 10 Seaforth Avenue in Roncesvalles/Parkdale in Toronto.
It is a house owned by the Hamid Samad and Sara Parisotto, co-owners of Commute Design Studio. While they began as a retailer of up-cycled vintage furniture, they have evolved into an ‘interdisciplinary design firm’ creating custom furniture and lighting as well as creating interiors for several private residences and many restaurants such as Aloette…
and Oretta…
Among many other restaurants.
Like those spaces, this house is very unique. The interior is filled with their vintage furniture finds and their custom lighting. They have used a long table in place of an island which makes it feel very open. The open washer/dryer at the back door is a little weird but that could be covered.
The second floor has good sized room and an updated bathroom. And the basement is set up as a 1 bedroom apartment (but with no stove that I could see). There is also a studio/gum/office shed in the back as well as a sitting area and an eating area with a bbq set up.
It is listed at $1,689,000.
Too bad the furniture doesn’t come with the place.
P.S. It’s worth checking out the walk through.
Also, what is this?
Is that the way to get to the basement apartment?
