The Pez dispenser has finally sold!!!

A few years ago, I posted this 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, 2,250 square foot house on a 15 x 86 foot lot at 154 Hamilton Street in the Riverside neighbourhood in Toronto.

It was a house on a lot that used to look like this…

It was replaced by this house, presumably on the same foundation because the new house is also set back on the lot with no backyard other than a parking spot.

And because this isn’t a wide lot, the house is very narrow.

Which is why I was shocked at the asking price…

$2,999,000.

After it still hadn’t sold and had a price drop to $1,999,000 and then another one to $1,899,000 and after seeing this photo…

I realized this house looked like a Pez dispenser…

By February of this year, it still hadn’t sold but came back on the market again for $1,899,000.

A reader recently pointed out to me (thanks!) that it sold in March…

For $1,750,000.
