SOLD - 166 Lisgar Street - BEACONSFIELD VILLAGE, TORONTO
Last Thursday, this 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom semi with a detached 2 car garage on a 25.49 x 125 foot lot at 166 Lisgar Street in Beaconsfield Village in Toronto came on the market.
It was a flip of a house that used to look like this…
So, yeah. It’s was a pretty big transformation.
When it was listed in April of 2019, it was a 4+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house and the asking price was $1,285,000. It sold for $1,485,800.
While I don’t know if it was purchased by the architect behind the house or if she was hired by a flipper, the architect, Vanessa Fong of VFA, did a great job.
She is also the architect behind the house at 252 Macpherson Avenue in Rathnelly that I posted a few years ago…
There is nothing really similar about the 2 houses that I would have known that other than the listing mentioning who the architect was.
In fact, at first, something about those front windows made me think this was a very toned down house done by the architects who did the house that is all over social media at 111 Givins Street…
But the similarities there really are just the windows.
And I definitely prefer this house.
The curved built-ins are interesting. The colour of the kitchen and the laundry cabinets are unique. I like the floors and the stairs. The bathrooms are simple in a good way and all the bedrooms are a good size.
The only downside was that the backyard wasn’t very big. And how do you do curtains for those front windows?
Otherwise, this was a great move-in ready house that was not going to sit long.
It was listed at $4,299,800. It sold in 1 day…
For $4,400,000.
