1 Lake Shore Drive - NEW TORONTO, TORONTO

Years ago, I posted the 3+1 bedroom, 3 bathroom house on this 48.67 x 180 foot waterfront lot at 1 Lake Shore Boulevard in New Toronto.

It was a great waterfront property that was a little tired but less work than the house down the street at 217 Lake Shore Drive…

Plus, it had that garage unit that I was clearly confused about because I had the photos mixed in with the main house.

When I first posted it, the asking price was $1,799,000. I wasn’t sure if it sold but it turns out it sold for $1,785,000. Half a year later, it was for lease for $6,000. A little over a year after that, it was back on the market for sale in 2017 for $3,288,000.

When I noticed that it was for sale again, it was the spring of 2018. The price had gone down to $2,988,000 then $2,658,000. When I posted it, the asking price was $2,858,000. Apparently, it sold but the deal fell through.

Then, it looks like it was completely renovated in 2019.

And for some reason*, it popped up in my Instagram feed the other day and I thought it was for sale. But I can’t find the post that alerted me to it or any evidence that it is currently for sale.

But I did discover that the 2+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom ‘garage’ that looks like this…

Was leased in 2020 for $2,500/month.

And that the main house (that was renovated by blackLAB Architects) is now called Inner Beach House and is a very successful AirBNB.

*Turns out after writing this article and googling ‘Inner Beach House’ one last time before posting, I discovered this house was featured in The Star yesterday and this house is not currently listed but will come on the market next week…

For $6,000,000.

Hmm…it was apparently a $1,000,000 renovation so is that price a little high for a 3 bedroom house and a 2 bedroom ‘garage’?

It is a unique property but I am thinking that price may be a little bit…
