SOLD - 185 Balmoral Avenue - SOUTH HILL, TORONTO
At the end of last week, I saw the listing for this 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house with a 1 car garage and spots for 5 more cars. It was a house on a 60 x 135 foot lot at 185 Balmoral Avenue in South Hill in Toronto.
And the first thing I thought of when I saw the backyard of this house…
Was of the backyard of a house I posted ages ago at 4860 Water Lane in West Vancouver…
The interior had a similar feel with all the white and the windows with this being fancier South Hill version.
But then I realized, not only did it remind me of that house, I have actually posted this house before but the front paint threw me off.
It had previously been owned by Brian Gluckstein but at the time was owned by Colleen McGill, both interior designers, and according to the listing, is currently owned by an architect (but I don’t know who) .
When it was last listed, the asking price was $3,828,000 and it sold for $4,075,000.
Since then, it looks like there was a family room and primary bathroom extension. Other than that and some cosmetic changes and a ton of closet space in the primary bedroom, there weren’t a lot changes that I could see (which surprises me that I didn’t recognize it).
It came on the market at 7 years after its last listing for $7,485,000.
It sold in 4 days…
For $7,350,000.
