6 Beaumont Road - ROSEDALE
If the interior of this 6+1 bedroom, 7 bathroom house with a 1 bedroom coach house is your style, then you will LOVE this place.
To me, it kind of reminds me of what Casa Loma would look like if were currently inhabited.
Though this place isn't nearly as big as Casa Loma, it's still enormous.
It sits on a 100 x 427.16 foot lot which is kind of crazy!!!
And if they hadn't sold the land next door to the people that built this house...
It would have been even more ginormous.
But as I mentioned, the style of the furniture isn't really for me.
I do LOVE this lamp though...
But the rest of the interior is just a little too old school formal for me.
There is something about the dark wood and the art that reminds me a lot of the house at 15 Oakley Place that was listed last spring. I loved that house (though it needed a little more colour for me) and subsequently was informed that those dancing prints were by Robert Longo.
But I am not sure who the artist is behind the prints in this house.
The inside front hall of this house also reminds me of the house around the corner from this house at 30 Whitney Avenue that was listed at $4,995,000 and sold for $4,700,000.
This house is listed at $8,900,000.
So, if you had $8,900,000 to spend on a house in Rosedale, would it be this one, the house I posted last week at 20 Cluny Drive, or the house that has been listed forever at 18 Cluny Drive?
Probably none of the above because they are all over priced but let's just say they weren't...
My choice would probably still be 20 Cluny Drive.
It's the backyard. It blows this one away.
Then again (don't freak out!)...........
If that wood in this house was painted like the house at 2 Castle Frank that sold for $6,600,000......
