UPDATE: 75 McGee Street - LESLIEVILLE

75 McGee Street, that 'interesting' house I wrote about a few weeks ago where the occupant is obviously a fan of the London It-designer Sera Hersham Loftus, is to be The Globe and Mail's Home of the Week tomorrow.

Seriously?

Apparently, this 4-plex house is owned by a ballet dancer, Caroline Richardson, who bought this place in 2002 for $370,000.  She and her boyfriend did all the 'upgrades'.  The foundation was fixed (did she do that!?!) and the house was waterproofed.  And tiles were put down somewhere.

There is also a lot of reclaimed wood that she added.  I am guessing that a lot of it is in that kitchen.

But the showpiece of the place is that stunning beaver stain glassed window.  SERIOUSLY!?!

Even though it has had a price drop of $50,000 since I wrote about several weeks ago, to the current price of $1,200,000....  

That is $830,000 more than she bought it for just 9 years ago!!!  

That is ridiculous.

This place is a gutter.

I really, really want to know who is buying this place and what they do to it.  It's in a great location and it could be amazing but really.  You would need to spend A LOT to make this place great.
