2 Grange Place - GRANGE PARK
Since this has been a Grange Park/Chinatown/whatever-you-want-to-call it day, I thought I would post another house in that neighbourhood.
This 3+1 semi was initially listed at the end of March for $1,580,000. I guess it didn't sell as they have just dropped the price to $1,490,000.
That is $139,000 less than the Toronto Life House of the Week around the corner at 50 Sullivan that just dropped their price to $1,629,000 from $1,749,000.
Hmm, this should be interesting to see what sells first.
I prefer this house because it has more character. I love the huge doors on the second floor and the whole house is really bright. There is no backyard but there is lane parking for 5 cars and a huge deck. Too bad it sides on the lane way.
The way the furniture is laid out in the living room kind of makes it look like a doctor's office but that could be changed. I love the dining room table and it is huge.
I would prefer this house over the new build on Sullivan any day but I would need to invest in some good curtains for the front windows. And I would need to put some money aside for any unexpected expenses. The place looks like a lot of it was done a while ago and might need updating one day like the floors and the lights.
But for now, this is my choice over Sullivan, especially if it sells for $1,360,000 like it should.
PS. This could be a pretty good gallery/home space too, especially given its location to the AGO.
