42 Beechwood Avenue - YORK MILLS
This 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 50 x 145 foot lot has been on the market since November. It is located around the corner from the house in my last post at 2 Hedgewood that has been listed since April and had a price drop in July.
Today, this house also had a price drop.
When I first saw the house and the price, I thought this would go in a second. It has clearly been well taking care of and could be a great house with a few touch ups (well, maybe more than a few) since nothing has been done to it since the 80s.
Guess that is why they had to drop the price from $1,649,000.
But on a lot that size in this neighbourhood!?!
With a new price of $1,595,000?
I don't think it will sit long. But sorry to the person whose grandmother lives here, or the person that grew up here and went through a Greek faze, because I don't think this will be bought to live in as is.
I think it will be torn down and be replace by something like this house across the street...
Or this house further down the street...
Too bad that magnolia couldn't be saved though.
I do think the price is still a little high whether it is bought to live as is or as a tear down. It will probably sell for closer to the mid $1.5s.
PS. What is that thing on the front hall mat!?!
