51 Dawlish Avenue - LAWRENCE PARK
Yesterday, I posted a 4+1 bedroom new build at 355 Blythwood Road in Lawrence Park.
It has a definite new build feeling, but I think it could be really good. If you took out the terrible staging furniture and replaced it with something like the furniture from this Connie Braemar designed Lawrence Park house at 115 Rochester Avenue that was for sale over a year ago for $4.3 million...
It could be a really great house, though still a new build.
But if you are looking for an old school Lawrence Park house, and you have $7,295,000, you could buy this house at 51 Dawlish Avenue!
It sits on a 130 x 150 foot lot. It has 7+1 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a 3 car garage, a pool, and a ravine setting.
It is very traditional but in a comfortable way. There is something about it that reminds me of the Anne Hepfer designed South Hill house at 204 Balmoral Avenue. The design is very different and I prefer the South Hill design, but they both have a very welcoming feel.
And unlike the house at 6 Beaumont Avenue in Rosedale, that is a current home of a Toronto real estate brokerage owner, this house (that is rumoured to have also once been owned by another Toronto real estate brokerage owner) is not stuffy.
Plus, the yard is amazing.
It was initially listed in May for $7,895,000 until the recent drop last week to the current price.
This is an amazing home on an amazing piece of property with a great location in Lawrence Park.
But $7.3?
Still can't see it.
