90 Roxborough Street East - ROSEDALE
This is a 4 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 64.17 x 125.42 foot lot at 90 Roxborough Street East in South Rosedale.
I know! There have been a lot of Rosedale houses recently, but I had to post this one.
I love the look of it from the outside. The door colour is not something you see everyday and it looks great with the brick. And I love that brick.
Inside, it's pretty great too.
There was something very familiar about the style, and when I read the listing description, I realised that this house was designed by Sloan Mauran. She is the owner and designer of the $7,850,000 asking house at 297 Russell Hill Road in Forest Hill that I posted a couple of weeks ago and former owner of the house at 51 Bernard Avenue in the Annex.
Also, this house has a painting by Quebec artist Paul Beliveau (at least it looks like one from this angle)...
Like the house at 6 Beaumont Road...
And 34 Beechwood Avenue in York Mills...
And 72 St. Leonard's Crescent...
Another reason I am posting it is because it was on the market already in June of this year. I had wanted to post it then but it came and went to fast. The asking price was $5,560,000.
Guess they had second thoughts because it is back on the market...
For $5,560,000.
If the similar (but larger) house at 18 Chestnut Park Road (which is now under renovations) could sell just under $6,000,000...
Or the house at 34 Chestnut Park that needed a ton of work was able to sell close to $4.5 million (I think) in 2011...
I don't see why this house couldn't sell for ask.
Except that it is only 4 bedrooms. That might be a problem.
