21 Mackenzie Crescent - BEACONSFIELD VILLAGE
This is a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom detached house on a 20 x 100 foot lot at 21 Mackenzie Crescent in Beaconsfield Village.
From the front, it is beautiful
On the inside, it's not my thing AT ALL, but it has tons of potential. There is someone that might like it as it is with the wallpaper everywhere (I do like the paper in the dining room, can't remember the name of it).
And if you are into a gothic library (one of TWO libraries) and a bird mural on the ceiling...
You will love this place.
But I think the buyer for this house in this neighbourhood will be younger than the style that is currently here.
So, someone is going to buy it and redo the whole thing.
I just hope they don't remove too much of the charm (but perhaps it had no charm left) like they did down the street in a replica house at 9 Mackenzie Crescent...
That was listed at $1,299,000 in April 2013.
It was a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom flip and it looked like a flip. But it was still a good house.
This house...
A replica on the outside...
Though it is move right in, looks like it hasn't been touched in 30 years.
Perhaps if they could find a buyer who is looking in this neighbourhood and will like it as it is (which I am pretty sure they won't), they might be able to sell this at asking.
Otherwise...
I think the $1,800,000 asking price might be a little high.
