AND IT WENT FOR - 297 Russell Hill Road - FOREST HILL
In September, I posted this 3+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom house on a 60 x 173 foot lot at 297 Russell Hill Road in Forest Hill.
I had just posted the house at 51 Bernard Avenue that had been for sale in November 2012 and was then back on the market for $3,300,000.
As I was going through the photos of this house, I started to realize that all the furniture that was in this house was from the Bernard house from 2012.
So, it turns out that this was the house of designer, Sloan Mauran, who was also the designer for the house at 90 Roxborough Street East...
In February, Mauran and her husband were featured in the Canadian House and Home issue...
At that point, this house had been on the market for 5 months...
At $7,850,000!!!
Sure, this is a beautiful house, but it was still only 3 bedrooms. I thought that price was going to be tough.
And as it was on the market for almost 8 months, it clearly was. But it looks like patience paid off.
This 3 bedroom house just sold...
For $7,400,000.
Wonder if they threw in these chairs...
