Two days ago, I posted
It is a house that was on the market in 2012 for $799,000. I guess it wasn't selling, or getting the offers that they wanted, because after 24 days on the market,
the agent sold the house to his brother
for $750,000 while waiving his commission.
At first, it sounds a little strange...
But if there were no higher or comparable offers, then this sounds fine. It would have been better if the brother paid full ask......
But...
The house was flipped and it was back on the market 7 months later in September 2012. The asking price was $1,175,000.
Looks like it didn't sell because it was back on the market with the same dining room furniture, but a much better living room fireplace situation....MUCH better.
It was listed at $1,399,0000.
It was on a laneway and some of the finishes weren't the best, so I thought that price might be tough. But for a detached house with a parking spot and the reno as it was now, this was a good price.
