9027 138 Street NW - EDMONTON, ALBERTA (1 Comment)

When a reader sent in the listing yesterday for this 5 bedroom, 5 bathroom, 3,739 square foot (plus basement) house with a triple underground garage on an 8,000 square foot lot at 9027 138 Street NW in the Parkview neighbourhood of Edmonton, Alberta and was unsure if I had ever posted an Edmonton house...

I did a quick search and realized that I hadn't. So, this is my first Edmonton post. As a matter of fact, the only time I have ever mentioned Edmonton is when I posted the Aurora house at 19 Awesome Again Lane...

That possibly could have been Curtis Joseph's house because of the 5 hockey jerseys including one from the Edmonton Oilers.

So, it's about time for an Edmonton house (thanks for sending in the listing).

Too be honest, I am not very familiar with Edmonton so I am not sure if this is a great neighbourhood. But from a quick google search, it's not in the top 10 but it is #13 on the 2017 list of top Edmonton neighbourhoods according to Edmonton based Avenue magazine.

This house is a new build on a lot that used to have a house that looked like this...

So, not necessarily an improvement depending on how you look at it and probably not an imrpovement in this neighbour's opinion...

But it is definetly an update.

As far as new builds go, this one done by My Home Construction and Design is a good one. Some of the staging and the lighting is a little too leather and sparkle for me. But with different furniture, this could be a great house.

It actually reminds me a lot of the Ottawa house at 55 Lyttleton Gardens...
