144 Strachan Avenue - NIAGARA, TORONTO (10 Comments)

This is a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with 2 parking spots on a 27 x 70 foot lot at 144 Strachan Avenue in the Niagara neighbourhood of Toronto.

It is a house that used to look like this…

It was torn down and a new house was built by JA Architecture Studio, the people behind the house at 337 Cleveland Street in Davisville Village

And the similar looking house to this house at 166 Dovercourt Road in Beaconsfield Village

That house, like this house, was also built by Luloo Boutique Homes, the people behind the house at 68 Dovercourt Road that recently sold for approximately $2.14 million…

Like all those houses that are very different from one another, despite being similar to the Beaconsfield Village house with the metal facade, this house has it’s own thing going on.

And I’m not sure how I feel about it.

I know I am not a fan of the front but I can’t tell if the photos make it greyish looking or if that is the house.

The dining table is in the kitchen that also acts as an island. But considering that I would probably just add an island, kind of like in what looks like the original floor plans…

And I would move the dining table to the front of the house and have the living room area at the back of the house.

The bathrooms look good and the ceiling height throughout is great.

The house at 166 Dovercourt Road that was a duplex was listed at $2,399,000. It sold $5,000 under ask.

This house that is a single family home is listed at $3,500,000.

P.S. I can’t with that mushroom in the backyard.
