AND IT WENT FOR - 194 Roxborough Drive - ROSEDALE, TORONTO (2 Comments)

A little over a year ago, I posted this 8,000 square foot, 4 bedroom, 8 bathroom house on a 60 x 401.87 foot lot at 194 Roxborough Drive in north Rosedale in Toronto.

It was a house that I first posted in 2015 when it had been listed after the passing of its owner, James Stewart, who made a LOT of money writing the most popular calculus text books in the world...

And like that symbol in the violin that Stewart used to play and the calculus symbol of the same shape, this house is called ‘The Integral House’.

When it was listed in 2015, the original asking price was $28,000,000.

It didn’t sell and the price was dropped a few months later to $22,900,000. It was dropped again a year after being on the market to $19,500,000.

Which is when I suggested, in the spirit of calculus, they should pick a ‘Happy Number’ like $19,300,000 instead.

It apparently sold a few months later but I am not sure for what price.

Three years it was back on the market in April 2019 for $21,500,000.

Not a Happy Number…

It took a year, but this house finally sold…

For $18,000,000.

A Happy Number?
