AND IT WENT FOR - 43 Russell Hill Road - SOUTH HILL, TORONTO

In January, I posted this 4+1 bedroom, 7 bathroom house on a 122 x 216 foot lot at 43 Russell Hill Road in South Hill.

It was a house that had been listed since June. I eventually posted it in January because the day before I posted it, the Queen of England made it official that Harry and Meghan were moving to Canada.

And I thought this house would be a good option for them.

It was gated. It was way up the hill away from prying eyes. It kind of looked like a castle (but that may have been a downside). And it was centrally located between Yorkville, Rosedale, Summerhill, and Meghan’s old neighbourhood where she rented this house in Seaton Village…

I wouldn’t say the ‘backyard’ was necessarily amazing…

But the house was private.

It was initally listed at $12,800,000. When I posted it, the price was down to $11,500,000. And if Meghan and Harry were going to move here, they would most likely do work to it so I wasn’t sure if it was or wasn’t in their budget (probably was).

Since then, they seem to have chosen LA instead of Toronto and this house remained on the market for another 6 months.

But as of 2 days ago, this house finally sold…

For $10,500,000.

Who knows, maybe they have chosen Toronto after all.
