AND IT WENT FOR - 41 Alcina Avenue - WYCHWOOD, TORONTO

In February, I posted this 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on a 40 x 149 foot lot at 41 Alcina Avenue in Wychwood in Toronto.

It was an updated home that was built in 1955 for artist York Wilson and his wife, Lela and designed by architect John B. Layng. The last time it was for sale was in 2013 when it looked like this…

It was listed at $2,295,000 and sold for $2,157,000.

Since then, it was renovated by architect Angela Tsementzis and she did a great job. I would have preferred something like the kitchen of another one of her designs, Concrete House, but it is still a very impressive reno.

When I posted it, the asking price was $6,000,000.

For a 2 bedroom, despite being a great house, it was a little high and the price was dropped to $5,295,000 a month later.

After another 2 weeks on the market, it sold at the end of March…

For $4,850,000.
