34 Beechwood Avenue - YORK MILLS
Two weeks ago, I posted a house at 113 Inglewood Drive in Moore Park.
It was a great house.
It wasn't exciting and full of colour, but it was done very well by designer Harvey Wise.
This 4+1 bedroom, 7 bathroom house on a 50 x 145 foot lot has also been done by Harvey Wise.
And I like it a lot.
Like the house on Inglewood, there is absolutely no colour in the decor except for art, pillows, soaps, orchids, and books.
Speaking of books, this house has the same book art as the house at 30 Rosedale Road and the house at 6 Beaumont Road in Rosedale (coincidentally, or not, a house owned by this listing agent's family)...
And I have figured out who the artist is. These book spine paintings are by Quebec based artist Paul Beliveau.
I am not crazy about the wallpaper in the dining room, but I love the wood floors (not so crazy about the hallway tile), the wood in the office is great, the basement is large and very family friendly, all the bathrooms are good and have good layouts.
Basically, I think this is a great looking house...inside and out. I don't love the style of the outside but the backyard is great and large and there is a 2 car garage. Sure, the interior isn't super exciting with beige, beige, beige everywhere but it is done REALLY well.
This house is listed at $2,880,000 (of course, the 8s!).
Even though this is a corner lot just 1 house away from York Mills...
I think this is a good price.
This is a move right in house, and if you are more into colour, it won't be a problem to incorporate.
And surprisingly, considering I have never agreed on one of these listing agent's prices...
I actually think this might go over!
Maybe even to $3,100,000.
