PRICE DROP - 78 Farnham Avenue - YONGE AND ST. CLAIR, TORONTO (3 Comments)
Last June, I posted this 5+1 bedroom, 6 bathroom house with 4 parking spots on a 37 x 132 foot lot at 78 Farnham Avenue in the Yonge and St. Clair neighbourhood in Toronto.
I was freaking out because after looking through all the photos and coming across this print on the wall…
I realized that is a photo of 22 Cottingham Road in South Hill!!!
This was another GREY HOUSE!!!!!!
And then I realized that this is what this house used to look like when I posted in 2015…
That was a good looking house and while it could have used some updating on the inside, there was little that needed to be done on the outside.
I wasn’t so crazy about that changing.
And while the inside of the house wasn’t really for me and reminded me more of a Harry Rosen store, I could see the inside of this house being for someone.
But the asking price of $5,390,000 seemed like A LOT.
Turns out I wasn’t alone in thinking that because since then, it has had 2 price drops. A little over 2 weeks after I posted it, the price was down to $4,995,000. It was dropped again in November to $4,980,000.
Now, a week after the 4+1 bedroom, 5 bathroom detached house with 1 parking spot on a 25.83 x 157.19 foot lot down the street at 37 Farnham Avenue…
This house is back on the market at the November price of $4,980,000.
