PRICE DROP - 358 Sumach Street - CABBAGETOWN
At the beginning of October, I posted this 3+1 bedroom, 2 bathroom semi with 2 parking spots at 358 Sumach Street in Cabbagetown.
It was a recently renovated house that used to look like this when I first posted it in 2013...
It was a great house with a lot of potential but it needed work. It was listed at $899,000. It sold for $1,037,000.
Apparently, according to the reader who sent it in, it was purchased by Andy Pringle and Valerie Pringle, current chair of the Toronto Police Services Board and former host of Canada AM respectively.
And considering this is the new bathroom in this house...
And this is the bathroom of their old house that was featured in Toronto Life in December 2011...
I would say, yeah, this is their house.
And it is quite traditional.
The asking price was $2,249,000.
Sure, this was an extensive reno, but was it a $900,000 reno? I thought it could possibly sell for ask but considering it was really a 2+1 bedroom, not a 3+1 bedroom, it would probably sell a little under.
It never sold and the price has now been dropped.
The new asking price for this house is...
$2,199,000.
