A couple of weeks ago, I posted this 4 bedroom, 7 bathroom house with a 3 car garage on a 145.54 x 104 foot lot at 7 Versailles Court in the Windfields neighbourhood in Toronto.

It was a house from the 70s that a reader sent in and I couldn’t decide if I loved it or hated it.

I found it a little dark and depressing with all the brick and one reader said it reminded them of the Galleria Mall. Another compared it to a p*rn set…

Probably because of this…

I did think the house had the potential to be like the Hogg’s Hollow house at 12 York Valley Crescent Road…

But it would cost a lot of money to get there.

When it was first listed a year ago, the asking price was $5,500,000. It didn’t sell and the price was dropped 2 months later to $3,999,000. It still didn’t sell and it was dropped again in October to $3,500,000.

And considering how much it would take to update, I thought the new asking price of $2,995,000 might still be too high, especially with that back yard.

It sold 3 days after I posted it…

For $2,800,000.
