This is a 3+1 bedroom, 4 bathroom house with 3 parking spots on a 45 x 131 foot lot at 116 Briar Hill Avenue in Lytton Park.
When I first saw it, I instantly thought of the house at 97 Sherwood Avenue in Sherwood Park on the other side of Yonge Street that sold in $1,691,000 in February 2014...
I had thought that house was perhaps a Sears Catalogue house like this one called 'The Vallonia'...
According to Lara who writes about Sears homes in a blog called Sears Homes of Chicagoland, this in fact is not a Sears home.
But it is a charming house.
Unlike the house at 97 Sherwood, this place is up-to-date. It still has a lot of original features, but there is a new kitchen that was done in 2009. Not sure about the bathrooms as there are full photos but if they are updated like the kitchen, they would be fine.
Even if the bathrooms do need work, this is a move-in-ready house and nothing (except maybe the bathrooms) needs to be done if you are into this style.
The house at 97 Sherwood Avenue needed a lot of work and now looks like this...
It was torn down and replaced with two new build semis with the one on the right at 97B Sherwood Avenue being recently listed at $2,550,000 and selling for $2,520,000.
This house that is on the same sized lot in an arguably better are and is move-right-in is listed at $1,995,000.
It won't sit for long...and will hopefully not be torn down!
